Senior Bookkeeper

A fast growing Accountancy Firm located in North West London are recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This position will be working within a dynamic and growing bookkeeping team, working on an array of clients from various industry sectors. This position offers career prospects, hybrid working and excellent benefits.Candidates applying should have a minimum of 7 years experience in a bookkeeping role within practice and have sound knowledge of VAT schemes in order to be considered for this position.Key Responsibilities:* Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, covering both sole trade and incorporated entities across multiple industries.* Perform bookkeeping tasks using various software programs, predominantly Xero.* Prepare and submit VAT returns for clients.* Respond promptly and professionally to client queries.* Ensure trial balances are complete and ready for handover to the accounts department.* Handle VAT registration and deregistration processes.* Review the work of junior staff and outsourcing partners to ensure quality and accuracy.Key Requirements:* At least 7 years of experience in bookkeeping within a practice environment.* Strong knowledge of Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.* In-depth experience dealing with VAT, including direct work with HMRC, VAT schemes, and some experience in VAT planning.* A proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.If you're an experienced Bookkeeper looking to take the next step in your career and make a real impact in a fast-growing company, we'd love to hear from you today.Fame Recruitment is an equal opportunities employer.
