This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic objectives of the Actuarial team and provide high-quality actuarial services. The successful candidate will collaborate with peers within the global actuarial function, underwriting function and other relevant business areas to deliver solutions to complex technical challenges.Opportunity to work with a leading insurance company. Chance to contribute to key actuarial projectsWhat you'll do:As a Senior Actuarial Analyst , you will play a crucial role in shaping Aspen's actuarial strategy. You will be involved in delivering key actuarial projects, contributing to the tactical actuarial plan, and providing support to colleagues. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with key processes and policies, building strong relationships with various internal functions, and supporting junior team members. Your ability to perform detailed analyses and make sound recommendations will be vital in assisting actuarial management.

  • Contribute to the tactical Actuarial plan and support others to achieve positive results for the business
  • Assist in delivering key Actuarial projects in line with Actuarial strategic vision
  • Perform, analyse and document conclusions as well as make recommendations to assist Actuarial management
  • Ensure key processes and policies are adhered to and ensure Aspen actuarial procedures comply with professional standards
  • Build and maintain positive relationship with Underwriters, Finance, Claims, Ceded Reinsurance and all other internal functions
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance and validation of actuarial systems, data, reporting and procedures
  • Support more junior members of the team as required

What you bring:The ideal candidate for this Senior Actuarial Analyst role brings a wealth of knowledge in financial services industry best practices in actuarial analysis, model development, and underwriting. You have proven experience applying your industry knowledge in shaping actuarial strategies. Your excellent communication skills enable you to produce detailed reports at various levels. You are adept at interpreting numerical data. A recognised actuarial qualification or progress towards becoming a qualified Actuary accredited by Institute of Actuaries or equivalent body is essential.

  • Atleast 2years of experience working in any function acturial role within a general insurer
  • Strong understanding of financial services industry best practice in actuarial analysis, model development and underwriting
  • Proven knowledge in applying industry and marketplace knowledge in shaping actuarial and underwriting strategy
  • Effective communication/interpersonal skills
  • Ability to produce detailed reports at various levels
  • Excellent in the use and interpretation of numerical data
  • Recognised actuarial qualification or progress towards becoming a qualified Actuary accredited by Institute of Actuaries or equivalent body
