- Conduct quarterly reserve reviews for specific lines of business, including calculation of central estimates and management’s best estimate.
- Present reserve review results to underwriting, finance, and senior management.
- Support Solvency II Technical Provision calculations and related regulatory reporting.
- Assist with annual reserve risk parameterisation and liaise with auditors and internal teams.
- Contribute to loss ratio planning by integrating reserving insights into pricing and planning exercises.
- Maintain and enhance reserving databases, tools, and applications.
- Develop and manage relationships with underwriters, claims, and finance teams.
- Provide support for external actuarial reviews and regulatory submissions.
- Nearly or fully qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent) with several years of reserving experience.
- Experience in the London Market, with knowledge of reserving methodologies across multiple lines of business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical findings effectively to non-actuarial colleagues.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements, including Solvency II and Lloyd’s reporting.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- This role is based in London, with hybrid working options available.
