Overview

We arae seeking a Admin/Finance officer to be responsible for providing comprehensive high quality, professional and customer focussed business and administrative support to the Company.

Responsibilities

  • To undertake a range of business administrative functions to support the smooth functioning of a stand-alone children’s centre.
  • To provide an efficient, effective and courteous reception service for the Centre; greeting and directing visitors and taking accurate messages and dealing with queries appropriately.
  • To be responsible for all incoming correspondence to the centre including e-mail enquiries ensuring that all items are logged, monitored and draft responses are written on behalf of the Centre Head/Deputy.
  • To take responsibility for booking appointment and visits for the Centre Head/Deputy ensuring these appointments do not conflict with any other arrangements.
  • To set up and organise meetings and to take and distribute minutes ensuring they are timely and accurate.
  • To be responsible for the reporting, recording and monitoring of building faults and hazards.
  • To participate in staff supervision and appraisal and attend meetings and training as appropriate.

Qualification, Skills, Knowledge, Experiance

  • Typing/word/data processing qualification
  • GCSE or NVQ 3 in English and Maths
  • Advance knowledge of MS office programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and use of databases.
  • An understanding of operational issues facing childcare settings and the client group.
  • Ability to calculate payment levels apportion funding and use electronic payment systems.
  • Ability to produce and notes of meetings within defined deadlines
  • Ability to prepare and draft correspondence

Pay Rates

PAYEE - £19.27
