Administrative Assistant - Passenger Services

?? Location: Wearside Service Centre, Lewisham Council?? Pay Rate: £18 per hour? Contract: Temporary (10th March 2025 - 25th July 2025)?? Hours: 35 hours per week, split shifts (7 AM - 3 PM / 10 AM - 6 PM)

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly organised Administrative Assistant to join Lewisham Council's Passenger Services team on a temporary basis. This role involves providing high-quality operational and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of transport services.

Key Responsibilities:

? Input and maintain records, including staff appointments and service data? Support the management of databases for scheduling, time management, and reporting? Handle telephone, email, and written communications, acting as the first point of contact? Assist in resolving operational issues and service disruptions? Maintain vehicle and transport records, ensuring compliance with Data Protection and DVSA requirements? Issue PPE and ID/clock-in cards to staff and manage stock of office supplies? Process service communications, complaints, and prepare reports? Take meeting notes and support staff training administration? Work flexibly within shift patterns and occasionally attend passenger service rounds in emergencies

Requirements:

? Strong administrative skills with experience in data entry and record-keeping? Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities? Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment? Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management? Experience in a similar role within transport, public services, or local government is desirable

Additional Information:

This role falls inside IR35 and requires flexibility in working hours to meet service needs.
