You’ll oversee inbox and diary management, coordinate Cabinet Member briefings, and provide high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the department. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for Senior Managers, handling complex queries, sensitive calls, and correspondence.
  • Manage inboxes and diaries, ensuring schedules are well-organised and urgent matters are prioritised.
  • Organise and manage monthly Cabinet Member briefings and Board Meetings, including preparing documents and taking minutes.
  • Liaise with MPs, Councillors, Executive Directors, Government Officers, and external partners.
  • Support project work, carrying out research and gathering information when required.
  • Plan and coordinate events, conferences, and seminars.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience in a high-level administrative support role, including inbox and diary management.
  • Strong experience in event planning and meeting coordination.
  • Excellent minute-taking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and databases.
  • Experience in project work and research.
