As a Corporate Actions Associate, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and processing voluntary corporate actions across multiple markets and asset classes. You will work closely with internal teams and external custodians, ensuring timely and accurate responses to corporate actions events, mitigating risk, and optimizing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Processing: Review, validate, and process voluntary corporate actions, including tender offers, rights issues, conversions, and buybacks.
- Market Monitoring: Track corporate action announcements via depositories, agents, and vendors to ensure timely capture of events.
- Client Communication: Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including trading desks and client service teams, to disseminate event details and obtain instructions.
- Risk Management: Identify and escalate potential risks associated with corporate actions to ensure compliance and operational accuracy.
- Reconciliation & Reporting: Perform daily reconciliations to verify event details and client elections, resolving discrepancies where necessary.
- Process Improvement: Assist in identifying and implementing process enhancements to improve efficiency and mitigate operational risk.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years in corporate actions processing within a broker-dealer, bank, or asset manager.
- Strong understanding of voluntary corporate actions and securities markets.
- Experience servicing cash Prime Brokerage clients is preferable
- Experience with industry platforms (e.g., DTCC, Euroclear, Clearstream) is a plus.
- High level of accuracy and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal teams, custodians, and clients.
- Excel and data analysis skills are a plus.
