Corporate Governance Assistant | Lloyd's Syndicate | London/WFH | £45 - 60,000 (doe)

Finitas are delighted to be partnering with a growing Lloyd's syndicate in their search for a Corporate Governance Assistant. This is a newly created role reporting into the Risk & Compliance Director.

This is a great opportunity that will provide unparalleled exposure to all areas of the governance function. You will be part of various committee and board meeting and your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling board and committee meetings.
  • Coordination of the preparation and distribution of comprehensive board and committee packs prior to meetings.
  • Accurately taking minutes of board and committee meetings.
  • Ensuring minutes are prepared and circulated to attendees for review and approval in a timely manner.
  • Managing the coordination of committee annual evaluation process and Terms of Reference reviews.
  • Assisting with the coordination of the annual review of policies across the organisation.
  • Maintaining statutory registers and filing statutory returns.

Experience required:

  • Experienced in organising board or executive packs and taking board minutes for a London Market insurer.
  • Experience of working with executive or board level personnel.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of company secretarial/governance duties.
  • Must have experience of working within the London insurance market - essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially in documenting and transcribing meeting minutes.
  • Solid knowledge of corporate governance practices.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Please note that their hybrid working is 3 days per week in their London office.
