We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Examinations Administrator to join a busy academic team at a leading London university on a temporary basis. This role is essential to the successful delivery of a large-scale assessment period taking place both on campus and at external venues across London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in administrative or assessment support who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.

Support the end-to-end administration of exams, including both main and resit periods.

Prepare and print exam papers, adding rubrics and instructions for candidates.

Assemble secure exam packs with a high level of accuracy.

Produce attendance lists and seating plans for each examination.

Coordinate with staff on computer-based assessments, ensuring the right equipment and guidance is provided.

Set up communication channels (e.g., MS Teams) for use by exam teams and invigilators.

Brief and manage a small team of invigilators, issuing exam materials and instructions.

Collect and check returned exam scripts and documentation.

Assist with arrangements for students requiring alternative exam provisions.

Escalate any issues arising during exams, such as errors in papers, room issues, or candidate illness.

Monitor absences and liaise with welfare and academic support staff as needed.

Distribute scripts to markers, follow up on outstanding marking, and resolve any discrepancies.

Enter and verify marks in the relevant systems.

Support preparation of data and documentation for examination boards.

Arrange logistics for external examiners, including materials, hospitality, and paperwork.

Respond to post-exam queries, including mark check requests.

Ensure adherence to academic policies and examination procedures.

Handle all data and documentation in line with confidentiality, data protection, and GDPR guidelines.

Carry out other related administrative duties as needed.

Previous experience in academic or assessment administration is highly desirable.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.

Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Teams.
