If yes, then you might be the perfect candidate for the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) Assistant role we are currently recruiting for.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Craft and maintain inspiring display materials and signage throughout the school.
  • Perform regular stock-checks and stay abreast of new products aiding vision and hearing impairment.
  • Manage the circulation of LRC resources efficiently.
  • Produce a range of resources in accessible formats, including large print, braille, and picture communication symbols.
  • Develop tactile diagrams and 3D models, promoting these services and maintaining a digital asset library.
  • Oversee the production of yearbooks and leavers books, ensuring compliance with photo consent regulations.
  • Design and issue certificates for recognitions such as the Co-Headteacher Award and Pupil of the Year.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to staff, guiding them to appropriate curriculum resources.
  • Work collaboratively with school teams to advise on resource modification and capture moments at school events.
  • Provide essential lunchtime cover for classes as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A creative flair for producing educational resources.
  • Knowledge of accessible formats for students with sensory impairments.
  • Proficiency in software for resource production, such as Fusion 360, Tinkercad, and Ultimaker Cura.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service ethos and communication abilities.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach to work.
  • A commitment to upholding safeguarding and child protection principles.
