Internal Sales/Business Support Assistant
Full Time - Permanent - Office base - Monday to Friday or 8.30am to 5pm or 8am to 4.30pm.
£30,000 per annum + Bonuses + other Company Perks.
Position: Internal Sales / Business Support AssistantReports To: General Manager
Role Overview:
We seek a highly organised and proactive Internal Sales / Business Support Assistant to support the General Manager and Directors in driving our Business Development Improvement Plan forward. This key role provides essential support across internal sales, business reporting, operational tasks, and customer service, ensuring smooth day-to-day business operations and excellent client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Advisory, Sales, & Customer Support
- Handle customer inquiries supporting the business with day-to-day sales inquiries and service requests. Manage skip permit applications with local authorities as part of advising and arranging waste management services for clients.
- Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate customer information relating to a range of company documentation, including waste transfer notes, recycling reports, and account details. Issue monthly waste recycling data to clients as part of environmental reporting and compliance requirements.
- Proactively contact potential new clients, following up on leads and identifying new opportunities. Support the preparation of proposals and contract documents.
Business & Operational Support
- Produce and maintain a suite of advanced Excel reports for Directors and management, including:
- Monthly KPI reports covering sales activity and operational performance.
- Provide day-to-day support to the General Manager and Directors, assisting with project tasks, strategic follow-ups, and improvement initiatives.
- Order and manage office and operational supplies to ensure smooth business operations.
- Assist in creating, updating, and distributing training manuals and internal procedure documents.
Requirements:
- Experience in business support, internal sales, or an analytical administrative role (preferably within waste management, construction, or logistics).
- Advanced Excel skills, including dashboards, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in engaging with clients, suppliers, and authorities.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems.
