If so, Signature Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for you to join our client, at a prestigious London university, as a Lead Assessments Officer. This is a temporary, full-time role which starts immediately for three months. It is offered on a hybrid working arrangement with three days on campus and two from home.

As a Lead Assessments Officer, you will play a crucial role within the Assessment Team leading and overseeing day-to-day administrative tasks. You will use your experience in student support to manage high volumes of inbox queries and your ability to resolve inquiries and signpost as necessary will be essential. In addition to inbox management, you will coordinate and implement processes that ensure the prompt and accurate operation of student assessments, progression and awards. Lead Assessments Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the Assessment, Curriculum and Records Officer to support and facilitate the work of the team
  • Administering the team’s inboxes, assisting with high volume shared inboxes, email triage and responding to student queries. To include resolving student and academic inquiries providing excellent customer service and signposting as necessary
  • Contributing to the student journey within the assessment processes including liaising with exam venues, external examiners and invigilators, exam paper production, alternative assessments and special arrangements, implementing student appeals and academic misconduct processes
  • Communicating with students regarding results, re-sits and progression
  • Assisting with servicing of exam boards, sub-boards and panels and the production of certificates and transcripts
  • Supporting events in the annual student lifecycle, such as Enrolment, Examinations and Graduation, to ensure an excellent student experience
  • Providing and supervising ad hoc administrative tasks in order to support the Assessment Team and wider university including participating in networks, committees, working groups, etc

Lead Assessments Officer Key Skills:

  • Experience in an administrative role within a higher education setting showing an ability to supervise and lead others and to work with initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong emphasis on exceptional customer service
  • A proactive approach with excellent time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Highly proficient in IT systems including Microsoft as well as student records systems and virtual learning environments
