Office Administrator - Construction

Are you an experienced office administrator with a strong background in construction? A growing and well-established construction company is looking for a highly organised and proactive individual to take charge of their administrative operations.

 

The Role

  • This is more than just an admin role - they are looking for a "mother hen" who keeps everything running smoothly. The right candidate will not only handle day-to-day administrative tasks but will also bring fresh ideas and improvements to processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Diary Management: Coordinating schedules and appointments using Tommy Soft, the company's planning software for site-based staff.
  • Communication: Managing calls with clients and tenants, arranging meetings, and handling general correspondence.
  • Bookkeeping Support: Working with Xero to assist with financial administration. This aspect of the role could expand into a full-time position, with an additional admin hire in the future.
  • Process Improvement: Implementing and streamlining workflows based on previous experience.

 

Requirements

  • Construction Experience is Essential - Must have prior experience working with a builder or a reactive maintenance company.
  • Strong administrative skills with experience in diary management and bookkeeping.
  • Confidence in liaising with clients, tenants, and site teams.
  • Knowledge of Xero (or willingness to learn) for bookkeeping tasks.
  • A proactive approach, able to suggest and implement better working processes.
