We are seeking a dedicated School Administrative Assistant to uphold and actively contribute to the vision, values, and aims of our school. This role involves providing comprehensive organisational and advisory support to the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), ensuring efficient management of administrative tasks and promoting a positive school ethos.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide organisational and complex advisory personal support to the Headteacher and other members of the SLT.
  • Manage all administrative issues relating to the Headteacher and assist with administrative matters concerning staff.
  • Coordinate the Headteacher’s diary, organise meetings, and manage follow-up actions from key meetings and correspondence.
  • Maintain and devise office systems, including data management and filing.
  • Screen phone calls, enquiries, and requests, handling them when appropriate.
  • Meet and greet visitors at all levels of seniority.
  • Carry out background research and present findings.
  • Organise and attend meetings, ensuring the Headteacher is well-prepared.
  • Draft memorandums, letters, and reports for the Headteacher’s approval.
  • Manage the Headteacher’s correspondence, including email.
  • Prepare agendas and take minutes of various meetings, ensuring timely publication.
  • Maintain the school’s external communications, including the website and social media platforms.
  • Support the front office in providing a professional service to staff, parents, pupils, and visitors.
  • Be responsible for branding and marketing, developing community links.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in ICT and office management systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Willingness to travel as the job may require.
  • First aid certification (training provided if not already certified).
