Our client are a well established Hi-Val Freight Forwarder who have an exciting opportunity available for an Administrative Assistant. Position is within their busy Import team to ensure the best possible experience for all their clients. Working 0900-1730 Monday to Friday, the company offers the following benefits:

The role of Administrative Assistant will involve learning aspects of imports, including but not limited to the following:

  • apply for import licences.
  • checking licences once received back from APHA.
  • raising files for incoming shipments.
  • uploading documentation and licences to our in-house system.
  • driving to collect and deliver custom documents.
  • photocopying, faxing, binding and filing all company documents as required.
  • assist the team as necessary, including with email correspondence.
  • assist the Manager as necessary in order to support the team.
  • undertake additional duties, or assist other members of staff, as may be reasonably requested by your Manager or Directors.

The knowledge, skills and experience required from our Administrative Assistant is:

  • Hold a full clean UK driving licence (essential).
  • Have a good knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written (essential).
  • Have the ability to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadlines (essential).
  • Have strong communication skills; including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels (essential).
  • Be a team player, with the ability to work as a member of the Imports team as well as alongside members of staff within other teams, as required (essential).
  • Sound IT knowledge - Word, Excel & Outlook as a minimum (essential).
  • Knowledge of the local area & London (essential).
  • Experience of using a CRM system (desirable).
  • Experience of transporting valuable goods (desirable).
