Venn Group are working with a Local Authority in London to recruit a PMO / Programme Support Officer to provide support across the workstreams, co-ordinate the reporting templates, manage the programme documentation and ensure adherence to governance / decision making functions. 

The skillset required relates to having strong communications skills, excellent analytical and detail skills. Being organised in both approach and product, able to work under pressure and excellent stakeholder management skills.

The successful candidate will have experience of designing and delivering complex transformation and savings programmes in local government, as well as programmes that respond to organisational priorities.

This role is inside IR35 and requires 3 days per week onsite at the offices in London. 

Essential skills/experience and responsibilities:

-         Experience of working in a programme office environment as a programme officer working with programme staff and senior leaders.

-         Assisting in developing and implementing project plans. Tracking project progress and identifying potential issues. 

-         Collecting and analysing data to assess programme effectiveness. Preparing highlight reports and presentations on programme progress. 

-         Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. 

-         Providing administrative support to the programme team, including organising meetings, preparing documents, and managing communications. 

-         Assisting in the development and initiation of new programmes. 

-         Identifying and assessing potential risks to programmes and projects. Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies. 

-         Ensuring that programmes and projects meet quality standards and expectations. Monitoring and evaluating programme quality. 

-         Working with other departments and teams to ensure programme success. 

-         Experience of writing reports and briefings to a high standard.
