We are looking for a Research Finance Administrator with previous Post Award Finance experience to support the Post-Award team with project monitoring, compliance, reconciliation and raising invoices to the funders, cost and financially approve staff appointments, studentship and tuition fees, and timesheets reconciliation. Other relevant administrative ad-hoc duties may be assigned. Training in the systems and processes will be provided but previous experience of financial reporting to the research funders is required.Experience and knowledge required: Proven knowledge and experience of Post Award administration, the funding rules and regulations, procedures and processes. Experience of financial database systems and maintaining accurate financial records.Experience of costing and financial approval of research and innovation staff appointments. Experience of working with internal and external auditors. Knowledge of Oracle Grants and Worktribe (desirable). Skills and abilities: Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Excellent IT skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, Microsoft and Outlook.Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.Excellent data analysis and reconciliation skills. Ability to understand, interpret and communicate financial data. Proven organisational skills and ability to plan, set priorities and work to deadlines.Excellent customer services skills with a commitment to provide an efficient, professional and effective support service.
