Senior Professional Complaints and Information Officer needed in North London Paying £27.60 per hr Ref 012640

Full time hrs on a temporary basis

Role Purpose: Support the managing complaints and Freedom of Information requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle service user and public complaints, representations, mediation, and enquiries from elected members and MPs.

  • Manage Freedom of Information and Data Protection Act requests.

  • Oversee the Schools service level agreement, Local Government Ombudsman, and Information Commissioner's Office interactions.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory complaints requirements under various Acts (Care Act 2014, Children Act 1989, etc.).

  • Champion Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity, and Information Security Policies through service and staff development.

  • Promote participation in performance appraisal and development initiatives.

  • Support election operations when requested.

  • Motivate, train, and manage staff to maintain an effective workforce.

  • Manage functions to provide responsive, accessible, and value-for-money services.

  • Develop structures, systems, and policies for effective service delivery.

  • Formulate and manage operational plans and budgets.

  • Resolve complex operational issues and set precedents.

  • Contribute to long-term service planning in line with priorities and customer needs.

  • Ensure effective linkage with related services for coherent and value-for-money service provision.

  • Prepare, monitor, and control the service budget.

  • Promote diversity in team management and service provision.
