If so, Signature Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for you to join our client, at a prestigious London university, as a Student Support Officer. This is a temporary, full-time position starting immediately for three months, the role is campus based.

As a Student Support Officer, you will use your experience to manage high volumes of queries, both via busy inboxes and directly with students and staff. Your ability to resolve inquiries and signpost as needed with excellent customer service will be essential. In addition, you will provide valuable administrative assistance to the team in order to ensure the seamless operation of the student lifecycle. Student Support Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the department’s inboxes, assisting with email triage and responding promptly to student queries
  • Resolving student and academic inquiries via telephone and in person, providing excellent customer service and signposting as necessary
  • Contributing to the student journey with module, programme evaluation and assessment processes including supporting with the collation of marks for Academic Boards
  • Assisting with the preparation and execution of events including trips, external speakers and associated logistics of room bookings, refreshments
  • Servicing academic committees including writing minutes, reports and taking follow-up action as required
  • Providing other general administrative tasks in order to support to the team and wider university

Student Support Officer Key Skills:

  • Experience in an administrative and student-facing role within a higher education setting with a good understanding of the student lifecycle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service with students, academics and professionals. Strong numeracy skills with an ability to work with data sets
  • Highly proficient in IT systems including Microsoft as well as student records systems and virtual learning environments, specifically UNIT-e and SITS
  • A proactive and positive team member with excellent time management, organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
