Temp Investment Secretary / Desk Assistant - 3 month assignment - Immediate start - City - up to £19/hour

Our client, a fabulous City based Investment Management company, is looking for an experienced Investment / Wealth Management Secretary to join their office-based team on a temporary basis.

Although this is a secretarial based role, the role will be client facing and will involve liaising and maintaining business relationships with clients, therefore impeccable communication and interpersonal skills are key to the success of this role.

We’re looking for someone dynamic, highly organised, analytical and numerate, with solid IT skills and fast, accurate typing.

Suitable candidates will ideally possess previous experience as a Secretary in Wealth Management / Investment Banking or Financial Services, or as a Desk Assistant and must be able to 'hit the ground running’.

Key responsibilities as the Investment Secretary / Desk Assistant will include:

  • Transcribing dictation (audio/digital audio)
  • Preparing and proofreading documentation
  • Booking meetings, appointments and team travel arrangements
  • Preparing meeting notes and taking minutes at various meetings
  • Preparing detailed reports
  • Developing solid working relationships with clients
  • Maintaining the CRM system
  • Updating client background notes and maintaining tracker sheets
  • Providing Desk Assistant cover if/when required

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous Secretarial / Desk Assistant experience within a Wealth Management, Investment Banking or Financial Services environment
  • Experience in financial services client administration (preferable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence and ability to liaise with clients
  • Fast, accurate typing (essential) and minute taking skills
  • Highly organised, methodical and meticulous nature
  • Analytical and numerate
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work to deadlines
  • PC literate - MS Excel, Outlook, Word (Advanced) and knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Personable and professional with a proactive nature
  • An understanding of the UK Regulatory framework is advantageous
  • Available imminently and able to commit to a 3 month+ temp assignment
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Ability to provide two professional references
  • Able to work in the office Monday to Friday (35 hours)
