As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Orthopaedics, your duties will include:
- Providing holistic and evidence-based care throughout the Orthopaedic pathway.
- Working both autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Overseeing the patient journey and advocating for patients.
- Offering specialist nursing advice and support to patients and their families.
- Driving service development and staff education.
- Utilising excellent communication skills to succeed in the role.

- A Children's Nursing Qualification RN Child or RSCN with valid NMC registration.
- At least 5 years post-registration experience in Children's nursing.
- A first degree in nursing or a health-related subject.
- A relevant qualification in the specialist area with at least 12 months of experience.
- A Mentorship qualification.
- Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support.
- Experience in audit and research relevant to the specialism.
- Knowledge of safeguarding processes, with up-to-date level 3 Safeguarding qualification.
- Understanding of clinical governance and managing risk.
