We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at a Trust in London. This role is ideal for a newly qualified or early-career physiotherapist who is passionate about patient care, keen to develop their skills, and eager to work in a supportive and innovative environment. Description:

The post holder will work within our inpatient physiotherapy teams as a Band 5 Physiotherapist, assisting patient flow through the acute Trust.

  • Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your work, including the management of patients in your care.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with medical and respiratory pathologies, orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, pediatric patients, amputees, head injuries, and stroke patients.
  • Formulate and deliver a physiotherapy treatment program based on evidence-based practice and treatment options, using clinical assessment, reasoning skills, and knowledge of treatment techniques.
  • Assess patient understanding of treatment, obtain valid consent, and work within a legal framework for patients who lack the capacity to consent to treatment.
  • Evaluate patient progress, reassess, and alter treatment programs as needed.
  • Represent the Physiotherapy service and individual patients at multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure a coordinated multi-disciplinary service and integrate physiotherapy treatment into the overall treatment program. This includes discussing patient care, progress, and discharge planning.

Skills:

  • Experience working in ICT or community-based physiotherapy teams.
  • Experience treating acute respiratory patients.
  • Ability to create personalized and effective rehabilitation plans.
  • Involvement in audit, research, and understanding of quality issues.
  • Ability to present information, both written and orally, in a clear and logical manner.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Effective communication, education, motivation, and negotiation skills with staff, patients, and carers.
