Location: Greater London

nGenium is currently recruiting for an exciting Applications specialist position for our client a leading Genomics OEM. As a Applications specialist, you will play a crucial role in in applications delivery activities within the UK. This is a field-based role with a focus on ensuring customer satisfaction, service quality, productivity, and profitability.

This is a highly technical field-based role, focusing on installation and applications delivery of new Liquid Handling systems, you will be the on-the-ground expert, ensuring smooth delivery of high-tech systems.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive Projects to Success: Deliver application projects on time, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • System Installations & Customization: Perform on-site installations, develop custom scripts tailored to client needs, and deliver comprehensive training sessions. You’ll also gather and present key data and statistics.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance visits, handle repairs, and troubleshoot issues to ensure projects stay on track. Escalate challenges when necessary to meet delivery timelines.
  • Detailed Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs, complete all handover documentation, and ensure smooth project sign-off with the customer.
  • Customer Support & Quality Assurance: Address customer concerns promptly, help resolve complaints, and contribute to quality assurance activities to maintain high standards.
  • Process Compliance: Stay 100% compliant by following the company’s procedures, ensuring you are always up to date on processes and guidelines.
  • Upgrades & Tech Support: Perform software upgrades and provide helpdesk support when needed, ensuring customers get the most out of their systems.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with regional management teams, manufacturers, and suppliers to deliver top-tier solutions, ensuring an efficient and organized workflow.

 

A suitable candidate would need:

  • Proven experience delivering complex installations in the life science industry
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • A good degree in a scientific or engineering discipline
  • Experience with lab automation and liquid handling systems.
  • Flexible to travel up to 90% of the time
  • Full UK driving licence and unrestricted right to work
