Job title Electrician / Field Service Engineer
Salary £35,000 - £40,000 + bonus + benefits
Location County Antrim
I am working with a global company seeking a field service engineer based in Northern Ireland, County Antrim. They are open to seeing profiles with an electrical background from other industries, with a passion to move into the renewables sector!
Duties and responsibilities
- Always adhere to all HSE procedures and play an active role in risk assessment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical components, inverters and modules.
- CCTV/Security Systems.
- Monitoring systems.
- Structures.
- Provide electrical maintenance services for portfolio of solar farms in a specified region. This will require regular travel to sites in your allocated region. On occasions you will be expected to travel to different regions to provide extra support if required.
- Assist with the compilation of insurance and warranty claims.
- Take full ownership of assigned sites.
- Manage relationships local subcontractors.
Qualifications required:
- 18th edition
- 2391 test & inspect
- NVQ level 3 (required)
- LV/HVAP (desired)
Other role requirements:
- Working at heights is an advantage.
- Be comfortable working in a team.
- Good time-management and punctuality.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to prioritize workload effectively.

- Able to work remotely without close supervision.
- HSE awareness.
- Being pro-active, able to work autonomously and use initiative.
- Problem solving attitude.
- Naturally inquisitive with strong technical understanding.
- A 'can-do' attitude and willingness to be adaptable.
- Passionate about renewables (highly desirable).
- Motivated and willing to receive training and development.
- Be comfortable in an out-door work environment.
- Full clean driving license required.
