We are seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer with at least two years of relevant experience to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate who has gained initial experience in structural engineering and is looking to further develop their skills within a dynamic, supportive environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers on a variety of projects across the transport and infrastructure sectors, gaining valuable exposure to new build, refurbishment, and cut-and-carve projects. While the role requires a degree of independence, guidance and support will always be available to ensure continuous learning and growth in the field.



Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Engineering Support:

    • Assist with the design of structural elements for transport and infrastructure projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
    • Contribute to developing and reviewing engineering solutions for new builds, refurbishments, and cut-and-carve projects.
    • Support the preparation of calculations, reports, and technical documentation in line with relevant standards and regulations.
  2. Site Surveys and Assessments:

    • Participate in site surveys to gather data and assess existing structures, supporting design proposals and decisions.
    • Assist with inspections and assessments of structures, ensuring they meet design specifications and safety requirements.
  3. Project Delivery:

    • Work as part of a team to deliver projects, supporting senior engineers with technical analysis, design reviews, and project management tasks.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of structural designs into wider project plans and specifications.
  4. Learning and Development:

    • Take ownership of your professional development by seeking guidance and feedback from senior engineers.
    • Engage with internal training sessions, external courses, and mentorship opportunities to further your expertise and move toward achieving chartered status.
    • Develop skills in structural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-specific tools.
  5. Communication and Reporting:

    • Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and documentation for internal and client use.
    • Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to discuss design progress, challenges, and solutions.
  6. Quality Assurance and Standards Compliance:

    • Ensure that all designs and engineering solutions meet relevant standards and are of the highest quality.
    • Support the quality control processes, reviewing work to identify errors or inconsistencies and working with the team to resolve them.
