Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client to facilitate the appointment of a Parking and Traffic Engineering Consultant on an interim basis for 12 Months.

This role will be involved in a high-profile project reviewing existing resident parking schemes, assessing both design and policy aspects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and implementing new parking restrictions, Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), Zero Emission Zones (ZEZs), and other local restrictions, ensuring high-quality civil enforcement.

Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Develop new parking restrictions, CPZs, and ZEZs to optimise on-street parking assets.
  • Ensure all legislative requirements and local policies are maintained.
  • Attend meetings, site visits, and assessments to review parking schemes.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including councillors and local residents.
To be successful in the role you will have:
  • Strong knowledge of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) and Traffic Signs Manuals.
  • Good understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
  • Experience in Traffic Regulation Order procedures and CPZ reviews.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, KeySIGN, KeyPOST, KeyLINES, Autotrack, and MS Office.
  • Ability to design and implement traffic schemes and signage.
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle for site visits.
