We are excited to have an opportunity for a Planning Engineer to join the dynamic world of Operational Maintenance Planning on a permanent basis with British Airways in Heathrow!

The Role:

  • Maximise opportunities within the maintenance plan and other key assets through data analysis.
  • Influences the management of resources across departments and projects to meet operational and financial objectives
  • Applying Engineering objectives when making decisions and creating plans
  • Ensures high-quality communication takes place with all stakeholders, suppliers and customers and that this takes place in a timely and accurate manner and in line with company Hallmarks
  • May be asked to stand in for Team Leader
  • Support, participate and contribute to continuously improving processes to ensure they are 'value added' cost effective
  • Ensure the best use of hangars, manpower, components and downtime by ensuring tasks are called in the most effective manner

What we are looking for:

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • A high level of awareness of maintenance tasks or extensive experience in aircraft maintenance planning
  • Ability to plan in a changing and complex environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and suppliers using different media
  • IT literacy - strong SAP, AirOps and Excel usage

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND/degree level or equivalent in an approved Engineering subject.
  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge of EASA regulations, including Part-M and Part-145
  • Understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Planning
  • Aircraft technical knowledge desirable
  • Sound understanding of the Operation desirable
