Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading construction client to hire a Quality Engineer for a permanent position on a major rail and infrastructure project in West London. This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with 3-4 days on-site and 1-2 days from home, along with a competitive salary of up to £60,000 plus benefits.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures for use by the local installation team.
  • Establish minimum inspection and test criteria for all products and services and communicate these across the installation team. These requirements to be implemented ensuring project specific requirements are met.
  • Manage and conduct inspections and tests during installation, generating appropriate records and, final sign-off / handover of the completed installation.
  • Manage and witness inspection and test for associated equipment at the supplier’s premises.
  • Provide support and training for managing and conducting inspections and tests during the installation.
  • Create, maintain and progress the Lifetime Record (LTR) documents throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Liaise with the installation team to exchange knowledge regarding inspection and quality requirements for the installation programme.

Quality Engineer Qualifications

  • Detailed knowledge of quality, environmental and health and safety standards and industry specifications for construction.
  • Ability to continually develop the company Management Systems by ensuring compliance with the latest National and European legislation, standards and specifications.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
