Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer
- Lead quality assurance checks and adjustments to aircraft and aircraft systems through out the design and manufacturing process.
- Develop and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform root cause analysis, corrective actions and preventive actions to address quality issues.
- Conduct inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence and compliance to quality standards, and look for improvements
- Analyse and interpret quality metric data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in product testing, validation and verification to ensure performance and safety of aircraft systems.
- Supports the continuation of approvals by monitoring the compliance for the MRP Part145 and AS9110 approvals
- Support the continuous improvement of processes and procedures to optimise production and reduce costs.
- Liaise with other engineers and senior managers to generate and implement improvements to manufacturing and design processes
Essential skills, knowledge and experience required for the Quality Engineer
- A degree in aerospace engineering or a related field and preferably a 2:1 or higher.
- Knowledge of MAA MRP145, EASA Part 145, 21.G, FAR145 regulations, AS9100 and best practice.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience in the development and implementation of QMS policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Safety management systems.
- Knowledge of governing body regulations such as the CAA and EASA.
- Attention to detail and an analytical, problem-solving mindset.
- Strong communication skills.
