Our client, a leading consultancy in the rail sector, is currently seeking a Chartered Engineer (Buildings) to join their team in London. This is a contract role focused on buildings and structures within rail projects, set for an initial duration of 12 months. The role offers a hybrid working model and requires an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert engineering input and consultancy for buildings and structures within rail projects at Old Oak Common
- Utilising software such as Bentley and Aecomsim to design and analyse building structures
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and effectively
- Overseeing construction processes to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations
- Preparing and presenting technical reports, drawings, and specifications
- Conducting site inspections and assessments to evaluate project progress and quality of work
- Managing project timelines and ensuring milestones are achieved on schedule
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in building engineering techniques
Job Requirements:
- Chartered status as a Senior Engineer with significant experience in building and structural engineering
- Strong proficiency in using software such as Bentley and Aecomsim
- Expertise in building design and analysis within the rail sector
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- High level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model with some on-site presence at Old Oak Common
