Our client, a renowned consultancy in the buildings sector, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their team in London on a contract basis.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce precise structural calculations for various residential projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards
  • Assist in conducting structural surveys, evaluating the integrity of existing structures, and identifying potential issues
  • Assess and report on structural defects in residential properties, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for remediation
  • Offer guidance and support for projects requiring structural expertise, collaborating closely with design teams and other stakeholders
  • Ensure all structural work adheres to industry standards and complies with applicable regulations


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in structural engineering, with a focus on residential properties
  • Proficiency in structural calculations, defect analysis, and familiarity with UK building regulations
  • Competency in structural analysis and design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information in reports
