We are currently looking for a Design Manager to work with one of our Main Contractor clients in London. My client provides consultancy and construction services to many organisations in the country and generated over 1.5bn in revenue last year.
The initial project is the construction of a 5,000 square foot library, just North of the Thames. This project aims construct a library with 4 new entrances and public access routes.
About the role:
- Managing the design processes involved in a construction project, including ensuring that drawings are ready on time, reviewing designs and making them available to the appropriate people.
- Liaising with clients on designrelated matters.
- Establishing and maintaining effective methods of communication between the teams involved in design work throughout the project.
- Managing a design team.
- Managing the design process using commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise.
