An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Manager with a focus on Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) to join a highly reputable electrical contractor based in Central London. With a group turnover exceeding £500 million, this company leads the industry in delivering mechanical and electrical solutions across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial offices, data centres, government buildings, and healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the design process for electrical systems, ensuring alignment with DFMA principles.
• Collaborate with design teams, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate and efficient design delivery.
• Identify opportunities for modularisation, prefabrication, and other DFMA strategies to optimise project efficiency.
• Review and approve technical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of prefabricated components.
• Implement design strategies to achieve cost savings, improved buildability, and enhanced quality.
• Monitor project progress, resolve design issues, and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and participate in design meetings with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience: Proven experience in electrical design management, with a strong emphasis on DFMA methodologies.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and building services, including modular and prefabrication techniques.
• Skills:
o Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Proficiency in design tools and software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory standards, health and safety requirements, and industry best practices.
