What are we looking for?

Purpose of Role

To lead Kingswood Arts and continue to develop the organisation into a robust and thriving arts and community centre, to serve the Kingswood Estate and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

  • Overall management and oversight of organisation
  • Implement business plan and strategic objectives in consultation with the board
  • Lead on Creative direction of the organisation in constant consultation with stakeholders and local community
  • Represent Kingswood Arts on a local, national and international level across different stakeholders, partnerships and networks
  • Line Management of the Kingswood Arts senior team
  • Innovation, development of the community offer and the organisation more broadly
  • Oversee current Capital projects and lead on major development plans
  • Work closely with finance and fundraising teams to develop financial stability of the organisation
  • Oversee further growth of earned income, driven by Weddings and Private Events

     

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • A proven track record of successful management in venue/s or community arts company operations, including financial oversight.
  • Experience in strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making
  • Artistic and creative programming or producing experience
  • Experience of maximising revenue streams and cost effectiveness.
  • Extremely strong people management, communication and organisational development skills
  • Strong understanding and experience of fundraising including through grants from trusts and foundations, individual giving and corporate partnerships
  • Strong understanding of risk management and how to implement across an organisation

  Desired

  • Experience Managing a similar-sized organisation
  • Experience managing hospitality including weddings, F&B and room hires
  • Experience in managing capital developments projects
  • Experience in working with the Heritage Lottery Fund
  • Experience in senior team involved in an Arts Council NPO application

What can you expect from the role?

Full-time (min 40hrs/week) with some evening and weekend work required
