My client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a dedicated and experienced legal cashier to join their finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inform fee earners of funds received, record receipts, and handle client account payment requests.
  • Allocate funds to settle fees, process internal transfers, and manage fund transfers between client and office accounts.
  • Reconcile client and office bank accounts, ensuring compliance with SAR 2.5.
  • Understand transaction purposes, linking the remitter, client, and regulated advice.
  • Action or escalate queries and requests promptly.
  • Provide interest calculations and place client funds on fixed money market deposits.
  • Liaise with banking partners for transaction processing.
  • Assist with supplier invoices, third-party fees, and expenses.
  • Support during the SRA external audit reporting period.
  • Monitor and prepare cash flow reports.
  • Maintain accurate financial records.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Support the finance team with month-end and year-end processes.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in Legal Finance.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and a Practice Management System like Elite 3e.
  • Experience in processing high-volume, high-value payments from client accounts.
