Sterling Williams are working alongside a fantastic Investment Management firm based in the centre of London. They are seeking a Transfers Specialist to join the team

Purpose of the roleProvide administrative support to the Team Lead of Onboarding, to ensure timely transition of client assets in to the firm. Responsibility for processing new transfer instructions and chasing cases with counterparties to ensure transfers complete in a timely manner whilst ensuring relevant updates and query handling to end IFA clients. Work with the Onboarding team to track and report on assets in transfer and ensure adherence to Service Level agreements, liaising with colleagues and third parties to follow up and update on progress. Responsibilities • Check and process transfer requests received from relationship management teams, liaising with third parties regarding settlement and inputting instructions into Pershing NEXUS system - Respond directly to end IFA clients queries in an efficient and timely manner.• Communicate with counterparties, fund managers and custodians to manage the smooth and timely transition of client assets to and from the company• Efficient tracking and reporting of assets in transfer using the Asset Tracker system, providing clear and relevant updates to enable the client (internal and external) to monitor progress of the transfer • Management of Transitions mailbox, post and telephone queries • Process transfers through our electronic reregistration system - Altus and Origo• Monitor reports and systems to check for receipt of funds and assets, process cheques for the custodian to apply to the accounts • Receiving transfer cheques in, cross checking information, updating the system and passing to cash management team for processing • Process payments to clients and third parties in relation to transfers out • Ensure adherence to internal and client operational procedures and controls • Management of Onboarding mailbox, post and telephone queries • Maintain relationships with third party administrators, Fund Managers and custodian • Maintain relationships with other departments •Ensuring payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner • Ensuring AML checks for new and existing clients - including KYC and bank account checks are carried out •Managing the Money In and Money Out bank accounts to ensure funds are allocated in a timely manner Knowledge • Knowledge of Electronic reregistration, Origo and Altus is essential.• Knowledge of tax wrapper structures including ISA, SIPP, Offshore Bond •Knowledge of Pershing NEXUS system is an advantage •Strong knowledge of asset transfer process including unit trust, CREST, foreign, certificated and cash movements Qualifications • Ideally studying towards the IOC certificate or already qualified Skills •Accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail •Good communication and interpersonal skills•Organisation and prioritisation skills to manage own workload to meet deadlines •Good communication skills (oral and written) in order to deal with queries received via telephone, email and face to face, and to ensure responses and updates are both clear and relevant •Ownership and initiative •Understanding the importance of treating customers fairly to deal with any issues that occur promptly and efficiently Other relevant information •Reports to the Onboarding Team Lead•This role works closely with others within the team sharing the workload and responsibility so a 'team’ attitude is needed - helping others when required. •Flexible attitude to duties as the role requirements may evolve to meet changing demands within the team. The successful candidate may undertake training to provide holiday cover to other areas within Operations.
