Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Senior Brokerage Officer for a Local Authority Client based in East London.

In this role, you will lead a team of brokerage professionals to secure, manage, and optimise care placements, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective services that meet the diverse needs of the borough's community.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Manage and support a team of brokerage officers and assistants.
  • Source, arrange, and adjust placements in residential, nursing, and community care settings for adults.
  • Identify service gaps, assess new providers, and maintain current market intelligence to ensure a robust supply of high-quality care services.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data entry into systems such as Mosaic and CM2000 to support financial forecasting, budget management, and community care charging.
  • Monitor and manage expenditures on placements, identifying savings and ensuring financial accountability within the team.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Proven experience as a brokerage officer, ideally within social care, health, or commissioning settings.
  • Experience in sourcing and managing residential, nursing, and community care placements.
  • Proficient in using case management and financial systems (e.g., Mosaic, CM2000) as well as general IT tools (Microsoft Office) for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring value for money in brokerage services.

What's on offer:

Salary: £22+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
