Account Executive - HealthcareLondon (min 2 days per week in the office)£50,000 - £70,000 + bonus and benefits including pension and DIS A well-respected insurance Broker with a long-standing Healthcare team is looking to appoint an Account Executive to take over an existing portfolio of mid-market clients spread from Tyneside down to Southampton.The TeamThe team work with clients throughout the Medical sector including Manufacturers, Life Sciences, Air Ambulances, Service Providers, Medical Recruitment and Healthcare Affinity Groups. They manage portfolios of policies for clients with a Liability biased, which can include Cyber, D&O, PI, Motor, Property, Liability and Medical Malpractice risks. The typical size of the portfolios are £30-£60K GWP but can be up to around £500k. The Role

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of accounts, c£250k income, made up of risks from £5k to £400k GWP
  • Preparation of presentations and report writing to both the market and clients
  • Providing support in the development of the division account from existing client contacts and new introductions
  • Maximising client retention levels
  • Actively cross-selling
  • Developing and maintaining good relations with partner insurers negotiating terms, rates and brokerage
  • Analysing the market with all potentially suitable products considered
  • Visiting clients in person (most are London, Kent and Essex)
  • Mentoring more junior members of the team

The PersonThe team is happy to train a general Commercial Account Executive in Healthcare and Med Mal, or is equally happy to consider someone with Healthcare or Med Mal experience, provided they also have experience in dealing with other classes of business, as the role is portfolio led. Other desired attributes/ skills:

  • Cert CII
  • Confidence and experience with conducting face to face client and Insurer meetings
  • Cradle to grave broking experience
  • Experience in training and mentoring
  • A strong work ethic
  • A driving license and car
  • Experience with Acturis would be the cherry on the cake!
