Description
The responsibilities of the Financial Institutions Assistant Relationship Manager include:
- Assist in the preparation and renewal of financial institution client limits and facilities for credit committee approval.
- Support credit monitoring, policy reviews, and internal control assessments.
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Compliance, and Operations teams to facilitate onboarding and KYC procedures.
- Prepare management reports and respond to ad-hoc data requests from Head Office.
- Ensure conduct risk is effectively managed through robust internal control processes.
Profile
The ideal Financial Institutions Assistant Relationship Manager candidate will have a degree-level education and a minimum of two years of experience in banking. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and an understanding of corporate banking products such as syndicated loans and term deposits are essential.
Knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks, including AML and KYC policies, is preferred. The candidate should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Mandarin writing ability is an advantage but not required.
