Is a leading higher education institution dedicated to academic excellence and student success. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team and support the smooth processing of financial transactions.

Description

  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims in accordance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment processing, including BACS and cheque payments.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve payment-related queries.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements (e.g., VAT), and institutional policies.
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency in the accounts payable function.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial tasks and reporting as required.

Profile

  • Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role, preferably within the education or public sector.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, VAT, and procurement policies within higher education.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Agresso, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to manage large datasets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with stakeholders.
