Accounts Payable Clerk

Up to £32,000 per annum + study support

Based in Central London

Accountancy Action have partnered with a rapidly expanding Property development company in order to find them a progressive, talented Accounts Payable Clerk.

The company is going through a rapid growth period and are looking for someone to be part of that scale up. The successful candidate will work under an impressive, charismatic Finance Director who will offer mentorship as well as inspiring leadership. Currently a group of companies, they are looking to expand and want the right team to help them on that journey. They are operating across residential and commercial markets on exciting projects.

The successful applicant will be joining a small but experienced finance department and will be key part of the team. This will initially be an account payable focused position but there is room to develop at this company so the client is keen to meet candidates who have started/ keen to start their accountancy qualifications and they will support study.

Key responsibilities of the post holder:

• Process and verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate approval, and coding.

• Manage the timely and accurate payment of invoices. • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.

• Maintain and update vendor files and records.

• Assist with month-end closing processes and provide support for audits.

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment issues and improve processes.

What the client is looking for:

• c. 2 years' accounts payable experience

• Ideally someone who has started studying for an accountancy qualification

• A good communicator - communication with suppliers is key here so they need someone who builds good working relationships

• Someone to work 5 days in the office
