Here is your opportunity to join a dynamic recruitment business specializing in the construction sector that is dedicated to connecting skilled professionals with leading companies. As they continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Senior to join their team and take charge of ensuring accurate invoicing and maintaining strong financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Management:

    • Generate weekly invoices and credit notes for clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
    • Establish and maintain a robust process to minimize errors and reduce credit notes.
  • Timesheet Reconciliation:

    • Collaborate closely with the payroll team to capture and correctly bill all timesheets to clients.
    • Work with the finance manager to monitor unbilled timesheets weekly, ensuring all items are accounted for and justified.
  • Client Relationships:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their accounts payable teams.
    • Ensure client portals are consistently updated with the latest invoices.
  • Payment Applications:

    • Oversee manual applications for payments and partner with the data team to automate processes where possible.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Provide direct supervision to two part-time staff members, ensuring performance and development goals are met.
  • Month-End Support:

    • Assist the finance manager with monthly close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Technical Expertise:

    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the accounts receivable ledger and related accounting practices.
    • Utilize advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, SUMIFs) to manage data and improve efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an accounts receivable role, preferably within recruitment or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel functions.
  • Leadership experience is a plus, with a proven ability to manage and motivate team members.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
