Our client, a world-renowned agency dedicated to helping brands connect meaningfully with audiences worldwide, is seeking an experienced Biller to join their Covent Garden office on a hybrid basis (3 days a week in the office).

In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Production and Client teams, ensuring accurate financial management and reporting. Reporting to the Revenue Accountant, you will enhance financial processes, maintain WIP and billing accuracy, and drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Client Reporting

  • Collaborate with Production and Client teams to monitor budgets and maintain accurate estimates in Paprika.
  • Oversee billing and work-in-progress (WIP) processes for client projects, ensuring timely and precise invoicing.
  • Reconcile project costs and revenues to maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Act as the primary contact for client billing inquiries, addressing and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Partner with project managers and stakeholders to track project costs and revenue recognition accurately.
  • Conduct budget reviews before client submission.
  • Manage deferrals, accruals, and WIP accounts efficiently.
  • Finalize reconciliations, including final invoicing and client financial reporting.

Billing & Invoicing

  • Ensure accurate and timely billing in accordance with contract terms.
  • Manage client setup, job creation, billing reconciliation, and payment activities.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and oversee client payment processes.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with internal teams to align financial operations with project objectives.
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison, addressing queries and escalating issues when needed.
  • Provide training to Production and Client teams on finance workflows and best practices.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in financial operations, project accounting, or billing within a fast-paced environment, ideally in marketing, advertising, or production.
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes, including WIP management, invoicing, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
  • Proficiency with financial systems such as Paprika (or similar project management and accounting tools).
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and manage financial data accurately.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing client relationships effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with accruals, deferrals, and financial reporting is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional part qualification or certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is desirable but not essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial models and large datasets.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, billing processes, and revenue management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
