Finance Administrator / Assistant

Salary: £40-45k

Location: London Bridge

Hours: 9-5:30pm Monday - Friday. Full time office based

Are you ready to take the next step in your finance career? Our client, specialising in fine beverages, is on the lookout for a Finance Administrator to join their growing team in London. This exciting new role will offer you the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Controller based in New York and support the UK Managing Director with day-to-day finance operations. If you're an ambitious finance professional, this could be the perfect fit for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily finance operations, including bookkeeping and supplier payments.
  • Review invoices before payment.
  • Handle financial data
  • Assist in month-end closing
  • Analysis of accounts
  • Maintain all accounting-related documents and support UK audits
  • Manage accounts payable reports and corporate files.
  • Process client payments efficiently.
  • Lead the analysis of monthly and quarterly financial numbers.
  • Report on the UK daily cash position and provide administrative support to the UK team.
  • Collaborate on ad hoc projects within the accounting department.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience within a similar position
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Great Plains is highly preferred
  • A strong work ethic
  • The ability to work independently
  • Initiative, proactive and a results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
