My client a medium sized law firm are currently seeking a Legal Cashier to join their dynamic finance team, all reporting directly to the Financial Controller. This role is ideal for an individual with previous Legal Accounts experience, looking to further their career in a supportive and professional environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Allocation of client and office receipts.
  • Processing client to office transfers.
  • Handling daily banking activities.
  • Processing and paying Counsel fee notes.
  • Posting invoices for Land Registry, Court fees, and Companies House online portal.
  • Processing write-offs of disbursements.
  • Monitoring and managing shared mailboxes.
  • Performing general team administration tasks.
  • Processing outward CHAPS and faster payments (training provided if necessary).
  • Conducting bank reconciliations.
  • Processing Purchase ledger invoices on the accounts system.
  • Entering and paying employee expenses.
  • Arranging daily payment runs of due invoices.
  • Managing client residual balances.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Good level of education - GCSE level education (including Maths and English Language).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Good IT skills: proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook (experience desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to liaise with people at all levels and to ask for help when needed.
  • Team player with a helpful and willing "can-do" attitude.
  • Ability to take on responsibility and work independently.
  • Courteous, efficient, professional, and conscientious.
9.30am-5.30pm
