A leading property management company is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team. The company manages a diverse portfolio of commercial and retail properties across the UK, providing professional asset and property management services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, authorisation, and timely payments.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and liaise with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile supplier statements and assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Process supplier payments via BACS and ensure accurate VAT recording.
- Handle supplier queries and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Assist with financial reporting, including accruals and cash flow forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and audit requirements.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role, in the property sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MRI, Qube, Sage, or similar property management systems).
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
