A leading property management company is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team. The company manages a diverse portfolio of commercial and retail properties across the UK, providing professional asset and property management services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, authorisation, and timely payments.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and liaise with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Process supplier payments via BACS and ensure accurate VAT recording.
  • Handle supplier queries and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Assist with financial reporting, including accruals and cash flow forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and audit requirements.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role, in the property sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MRI, Qube, Sage, or similar property management systems).
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
