I am representing a trailblazing commercial insurance and reinsurance broker, dedicated to revolutionising the way businesses manage risk. As they continue to expand, they are on the lookout for passionate individuals to join their talented IBA team.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis: Dive into analysing bank receipts and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconciliation: Master the art of reconciling cash receipts and payments with accounting entries within agreed deadlines.
• Payment Processing: Handle payments to clients, markets, and third parties using our internet banking system.
• Bank Reconciliations: Assist in preparing IBA bank reconciliations.
• Currency Management: Tackle foreign currency and exchange issues as needed.
• Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, markets, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of queries.
• Reporting: Create both standard and ad-hoc accounting reports.
• Query Management: Maintain the query log with detailed notes on outstanding issues and actions.
• Credit Control: Manage credit control, ensuring prompt creation and distribution of statements.

Skills & Knowledge

• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reporting: Experience in producing management accounts and related reports.
• Organisation: Highly organised with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Technical Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with financial software.
• Industry Experience: Previous experience in a commercially focused IBA role, ideally within the global (re)insurance sector.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in handling IBA documentation.
