Job Overview:
We are looking for proactive and skilled School Caretakers to join our vibrant schools in East London. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and equipment upkeep.
- Oversee the security of the school buildings and grounds, including locking and unlocking premises.
- Manage waste disposal and ensure the proper handling of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Assist with setting up and clearing for school events and functions.
- Address any urgent maintenance issues promptly and liaise with external contractors as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a caretaker or in a similar facilities management role.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment for students and staff.
