General Overview:
The Caretaker ensures the premises are maintained in excellent condition, supporting the smooth functioning of operations and providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on facilities, fixtures, and equipment.
- Security: Ensure the property is secure by locking/unlocking premises, monitoring CCTV, and conducting inspections.
- Cleaning & Hygiene: Oversee and carry out cleaning duties to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Health & Safety: Perform regular safety checks, including fire alarm tests, and report hazards promptly.
- Groundskeeping: Maintain outdoor spaces, including lawns, pathways, and parking areas.
- Support Services: Assist with setting up rooms for events, moving furniture, and responding to requests for general assistance.
- Supplies Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Customer Service: Address queries or concerns from building users in a professional and friendly manner.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Previous experience in a caretaker or similar role is essential.
- Certifications:
- Health & Safety Training (e.g., COSHH, First Aid).
- Relevant technical qualifications are a plus.
- Physical Fitness: The role requires manual handling and lifting
- Interpersonal Skills: Friendly and approachable demeanor, with strong communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
