Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to join their Corporate Services and Real Estate team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, where your proactive approach and strong ownership of work will be highly valued. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to supervise and monitor contractors outside of regular working hours, including weekends when required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, has a keen eye for detail, and possesses strong communication skills.

What you will do:

  • Sort incoming mail for distribution and dispatch outgoing mail before midday
  • Respond to service calls/emails promptly and professionally
  • Review furniture needs and reconstruct furniture as needed
  • Identify cleaning deficiencies in overall facility and proactively identify areas requiring attention
  • Ensure the physical appearance of the office is up to company standards
  • Partner and communicate with building engineers on service requests
  • Maintain conference rooms which includes set up and cleanup after meetings and events
  • Service employees with their day-to-day office needs such as troubleshooting or repairing desks, daily moves, changing toners

What you will bring:

  • Ideally 3 years experience as a Facilities Assistant
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Strong Excel and data entry skills are beneficial
  • Detail-oriented with a thorough approach to work
  • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritise in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment
  • Good sense of urgency and quick learning abilities
  • Strong team player with a willingness to participate and help others
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate well with people at all levels
